Bluesky Font Generator
Type your text and every style updates as you go. Click Copy next to the one you want and paste it into Bluesky. These are Unicode characters rather than real fonts, which is why they paste anywhere: Bluesky has no font picker of its own.
These are Unicode characters, not real fonts, which is why they paste anywhere. Use them for a few words: a whole bio in script letters is hard to read and screen readers spell it out one character at a time.
Where fonts work on Bluesky
Styled fonts work in Bluesky display names and posts because they are plain Unicode characters. Bluesky handles are domain names, so they cannot be styled.
How to change your font on Bluesky
- Type your text in the box at the top.
- Scroll through the styles. Bold and italic are the readable ones; script, gothic and bubble are for a word or two.
- Click Copy on the style you want.
- Open Bluesky, edit your bio, name or post, and paste.
A word on readability
Styled letters are symbols, so a screen reader announces "mathematical bold capital A" instead of "A". Search on Bluesky does not match them either. That makes them fine for a name or a headline word and a bad idea for a whole bio or any keyword you want people to find. The styles marked as harder to read in the list are the ones to use sparingly.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get different fonts on Bluesky?
Bluesky does not have a font setting. You generate the styled text with a tool like this one and paste it in: the characters are part of the Unicode standard, so Bluesky accepts them like any other text.
Why do some fonts show as boxes?
A few older devices are missing the Unicode blocks for rarer styles like gothic or squared letters. Bold, italic, sans and monospace are safe everywhere.
Can I use these fonts in my Bluesky username?
No: Bluesky usernames only allow letters, numbers, hyphens (before .bsky.social). Display names and bios accept styled text.
Are these real fonts?
No. Every style maps your letters onto look-alike Unicode characters (for example, bold A is U+1D400). That is what lets them paste into places that strip formatting.
Is it free?
Yes. No signup, no limit, and the text never leaves your browser.
