I build one of the two tools on this page, so let me put the awkward part up front: RecurPost beats us in several places, and one of them is a feature we have not built at all.
If you want the short version, it’s this. RecurPost supports more platforms than we do and its evergreen recycling has no equivalent in our product. We bill per workspace with unlimited team members, impose no daily posting caps, and ship an MCP server so AI assistants can run your scheduling. Those are different products for different people, and pretending otherwise would waste your time and mine.
Where RecurPost is genuinely better
Starting here, because a comparison written by a vendor that opens with its own strengths isn’t worth reading.
RecurPost supports 10 networks against our 8. The two we lack are Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Google Business Profile is the one that matters commercially: for a restaurant, clinic, or any business with a physical location, posting there frequently drives more revenue than social publishing does. If that’s on your list, this comparison is already over and you should buy RecurPost.
Evergreen recycling is the other one. RecurPost’s libraries hold approved posts in pools that cycle back into your schedule automatically, with seasonal libraries and per-client field substitution layered on top. It’s the best implementation in this price bracket, it’s why most of their happy customers are happy, and we have nothing like it. Our scheduling is calendar-first: you place a post, it publishes, it’s done. For anyone sitting on 200 good evergreen posts, that’s a downgrade and I won’t dress it up.
They’re also cheaper to start, at $9/month against our $19, and their trial is more generous. Fourteen days with no card, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee, against our 4-day trial that asks for a card up front. If you want to evaluate slowly, theirs is the better on-ramp.
Where we’re better
Team billing is the clearest one. RecurPost includes 1 user on Starter and Personal, 3 on Agency, and charges $20/month for each additional person. We include unlimited team members on every plan and bill per workspace instead. A five-person team costs the same here as a one-person team.
Connected accounts per dollar go the same way. Our $19 Pro plan includes 15 accounts. RecurPost’s $25 Personal plan includes 5, and getting to 15 means adding ten at $4 each, so roughly $65/month.
We have no daily posting caps. RecurPost limits you to 10, 20, or 80 posts per account per day depending on tier. Most people never notice, but agencies running busy accounts and anyone doing high-frequency publishing do.
Then the MCP server, which needs a precise claim rather than a loose one. RecurPost publishes a genuine REST API covering posting, scheduling, libraries, and AI generation, so “we have an API and they don’t” would be false. What they don’t have is an MCP server. Ours is hosted and included on every paid plan, so Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok can draft and schedule across your accounts in conversation, with no code involved. If you already work through an AI assistant, that difference is the entire reason to look at us.

How to actually decide
Skip the feature lists and answer two questions.
Do you have a body of evergreen content? Tips, testimonials, service highlights, quotes, anything that stays true for a year. If yes, and if keeping it in circulation is how you want to fill your calendar, RecurPost is built for exactly that and we are not. This is the single most decisive question on the page.
Do you need Google Business Profile? If you have physical locations, probably yes, and we don’t publish there. Also decisive, also in their favour.
If both answers are no, then the comparison moves onto our ground: how many people need access, how many accounts you run, how often you post, and whether you want an AI assistant driving any of it.
Who should buy which
Buy RecurPost if you’re a solo operator or small business with evergreen content worth recycling, if you need Google Business Profile or Bluesky, or if you want a long no-card trial before committing. At $9 a month for a couple of accounts it’s also simply the cheaper way in.
Buy Social by InstantDM if you have teammates who need logins and don’t want to pay $20 a head, if you’re running ten or more accounts, if you publish frequently enough to bump into daily caps, or if you want Claude or ChatGPT scheduling for you through an MCP server rather than code.
